On Saturday, we were invited to attend an event run by the Shropshire European Organisation to celebrate International Children's Day. We ran an stall which provided information about play-based therapies in Shropshire, and a selection of activities based around the Play Therapy Toolkit including sand trays and symbols, puppets, therapeutic stories, mask making, and nervous system state sliders.

We met some incredible children and their families, sharing stories and becoming deeply involved in the activities, particularly telling their stories in the sand trays. We have made great links with the Shropshire European Organisation and hope to attend other events in the future to raise awareness of, and trust in, play based therapies for supporting mental health.
