HAYCOP OPEN DAY
2017-07-01

Today we attended the annual open day at The Haycop, a nature reserve in Broseley, Shropshire. It was a beautiful day, and very well attended by local residents as well as people from further afield.

Again, we took along our sand trays and symbols which attracted many children and adults – some children remained with us for a few hours at a time! As well as witnessing the worlds being created in the sand, we also spoke to local parents about children’s mental health, and the services that we are able to provide to support them and their families. It’s also a great way to build awareness of Play Therapy, something that still appears fairly unknown in Shropshire.

It was such a beautiful setting to work with sand trays, which made Tamsyn even more determined to venture out into the pioneering world of Outdoor and Nature-based Play Therapy.
