Hannah Bridge

Hi, my name is Hannah Bridge. I am a trained, experienced and professional counsellor registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, a Play Therapist registered with the British Association of Play Therapists and a “Trained Trainer” with a post-graduate background in Training, Organisational Development and Personnel Development, particularly in higher education.

I work from my private clinic just south of Shrewsbury. I also work in schools, and sometimes in other settings such as clinics and family homes.

MY THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

I am an Integrative and Creative Therapist. I trained as a psychodynamic Counsellor and as a person-centred Play Therapist. I am eclectic in my Continuing Professional Development and draw from a range of approaches, in particular Gestalt, Transpersonal, Psychosynthesis, Transactional, and all the Creative approaches. Up-to-date research and practice in ‘Attachment’ and ‘Trauma’ are core, to my therapeutic work.

TYPES OF PROBLEMS I DEAL WITH

Counselling is evidenced as an effective treatment for a range of adult difficulties and Play Therapy is evidenced as an effective treatment for a wide range of children’s difficulties. I believe that how we treat the body affects the mind. And how we treat the mind, affects the body. So no matter how you or your family or child’s unhappiness manifests, I believe that a creative therapeutic approach can help.
